Flat Oliver Visits the Oldest Person in His Family

Oliver was so glad to get to Florida and to get out of his envelope that Grama Sue sent him in! Here he is with Grama Arsenault, the oldest person in his family! She is 92 and blind so she couldn't see him.  She was so glad to have him come and sit on her lap a bit so she could feel him!

Flat Oliver Visiting Cousins from Kansas

Here's flat Oliver at Aunt Kay's swimming pool. Not having so much fun since he can't get in the pool with his cousins Savannah & Madison Cline who are here from Kansas with their mom Mariah.  Sometimes it's better to be real rather than a fold up!

I will be writing a story but thought I'd update you as we go!

Flat Robinson visits Hawaii

Flat Robinson visits Hawaii June 20 - June 24

Day 1: Flat Robinson arrives safely in Honolulu, Hawaii. We show him around the Shin home and he poses with his cousins, Anthony and Addison, in the backyard, pool side. FR almost rips his neck against the strong trade winds!

Day 2: FR goes beach bummin' with the kids at Ala Moana Beach Park!

Day 3: We drive to the north side of the island to tour the Dole Plantation pineapple farm. Flat Robinson survived the "human maze" in the blazing sun and as a reward, we went for a ride on the Dole Express train. Robinson tags along for lunch at our favorite shrimp truck: Macky's.

Flat Eli

Flat Eli Begins His Adventures

Flat Eli and his brother Flat Adi are packed and ready for their family trip to England.

Flat Oliver

Adventures of Flat Oliver

Flat Oliver arrived in Grass Valley on June 12, 2014, and was glad to finally get out of that envelope and stretch out!! He let out a loud “Yipee” when he was unfolded…and made a bee-line for Grandma Sue 7
Papa Richard’s couch……..surely there must be a great video game to play!!  He stretched out and made sure he had a comfy pillow behind his head.  OH…OH!!!! NO good videos….

Flat Oliver decided that since the couch wasn’t going to work, he would try the hammock outside…and he nearly slipped off!!!!  TOO risky for someone who was so flat… See what I mean?????????

Ahhh, but Papa is doing something on the ladder…so Flat Oliver dragged himself over there and…sure enough, Pap was putting the funny face back on the tree!! “Yipee!”, said Flat Oliver, and he climbed the ladder to put the nose back on.

All of this was pretty exhausting, so Flat Oliver collapsed in one of the kitchen chairs (right below one of his very own art pieces!)
and settled in for three pieces of cheese pizza….yum….

YUM, YUM, YUM ….Flat Oliver wondered if Grandma Sue would give him a soda….She said “NO!!!!!, have some milk.” Oh well….Flat Oliver tried…..

Flat Oliver thought about some of the other adventures he could do in Grass Valley, and decided that he would make a list for Grandma Sue and Papa Richard…he made a list….1. Pine needle sledding; 2.Go down town, and get an ice cream bar: 3. Maybe help them at the vineyard;
4. Go to the Yuba river; 5. Hummmm…I’ll have to think of some more ….
